Trademark Registration Fees
Below you will find the fee structure for most trademark services. Where possible, a flat rate is utilized to assist clients in budgeting for their legal needs. The goal is always to provide affordable, sound legal advice from an attorney committed to your business growth.

| New clients may schedule a consultation to discuss their trademark needs without charge. Each client is provided a 30 minute consultation which includes a discussion of trademark services offered. | |
| USPTO Filing Fee | $275 |
| Filing fee charged by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a Trademark Application. Generally, the filing fee is $275 per class of goods or services within which applicant is seeking registration. May be $225 in some cases. | |
| Optional Clearance Search and Opinion Letter (If requested by client) | $500 |
| An additional vendor provided trademark search may be ordered by the client prior to proceeding with a trademark registeration. If ordered, this price includes vendor fee and opinion letter. | |
(1) Substantive Responses to USPTO examiners which require longer than 1 hour will be billed at an additional hourly rate after consulting client and obtaining approval.

| Section 8 and 15 required maintenance filings. You must file a "Declaration of Use under Section 8" between the fifth and sixth year following registration. In addition, you must file a combined "Declaration of Use and Application for Renewal under Sections 8 and 9" between the ninth and tenth year after registration, and every 10 years thereafter. If these documents are not timely filed, your registration will be cancelled and cannot be revived or reinstated. | |

| Every effort is made to provide affordable services and to work within a client's budget. Generally, the rate is $300 an hour. In some limited circumstances, litigation services may be provided on a contingency basis for small business defendants subjected to predatory type litigation. | |
Successful registration or results can not be guaranteed, and clients acquiring trademark services must sign a representation agreement before work is started. The representation agreement defines the relationship between the attorney and client, the fee structure, and demonstrates the client understands the risks involved.
